Grandview Men's Group

Grandview's Men's Group has been active since the early 1960's. The official group season starts in March and ends in October; but the group plays year round. Rain, wind, snow, it doesn't matter, members will always show up and play. As many as 65 players will show up to play on a weekend, depending on the weather, it could be larger. The group has been run by a nominated committee that oversees various elements such as: handicaps, rules, pick sheets, formats of play, special events, awards, etc. The group's primary format of play is 4 player teams that play 2 best ball. Group players handicaps range from scratch to 30, players will be placed on the picksheet based on handicap (see below). If there are 40 players, there will be 10 captains, determined by the 10 lowest handicapped players on the picksheet. They can pick anyone on the picksheet until they have their foursome for the round. If there are un-even teams, team sizes and format of play will be adjusted accordingly.

Eligibility Requirements- Group members must have a USGA handicap set up through Grandview. In march of every golf season, members must pay $15 in group dues to the committee. Money will go towards prizes, numerous feeds and luncheons, and the end of the year awards banquet. If someone has not been in the group the previous calendar year, they must be voted in by the group. They must be in good standing with Grandview, The Men's Group, and have no past negative issues. Almost everyone who requests to join the group is accepted. If you wish to receive more information or to request joining the group, please contact the Grandview pro shop.
